Hard Woods

 Cherry - Mahogany - Maple - Oak - Walnut

Cherry  is considered to be one of the finest North American hardwoods. Cherry wood has been traditionally used in fine furniture since the first American settlers. The wood is prized for both beauty and workability. The finished wood has a beautiful salmon pink to red color that with time only improves.

Mahogany is a kind of wood—the straight-grained, reddish-brown timber of three tropical hardwood species of the genus Swietenia, indigenous to the Americas, part of the pan tropical chinaberry family, Meliaceae.

Maple the classic American blonde, Hard Maple features creamy white sapwood with a reddish cast, and rugged durability. The wood has an exceptionally fine, even texture, and tight pores that yield an excellent finished surface.

Oak has a classic look and excellent strength properties. Its broad heartwood ranges from a pinkish tone to light reddish-brown.

American Black Walnut the heartwood varies from light grayish-brown to deep chocolate brown, occasionally approaching an almost black or purplish-brown. The grain is slightly open and usually straight, but is famous for its sometimes stunning figure.
